A beginner-friendly leather project that can be easily made in half a day.
The pattern has stitching holes marked for 5mm stitching irons.
Size:
Approximately 13x13”, the bottom is 5” wide in the center.
What you are gonna need:
Tools:
Knife or scissors, stitching irons, hole punch, maul or mallet, pair of harness needles, waxed thread.
Materials:
This tote can be done pretty much out of anything, except anything that is too thin or too heavy (use your common sense). I used 1.8 medium-soft chrome tanned for the body, 2 mm medium chrome tan pull-up for the bottom, 1.2 mm crazy horse for the pocket, and 3 mm veg tan for the straps (the straps should always be 3 mm and up, in my humble opinion).
Hardware:
8 x rivets
1 x button stud (or snap closure or anything you’d prefer).
Have fun!
