So, I know some folks here would be curious to find out about all that story with Don from Leather N Stitch. He was posting all the time "let's help Marina" when I had lost all my stores.
First of all, he kindly offered me 50% of the revenue from selling my patterns. Which I politely rejected and settled at 70/30 rate which is kinda common but then it shouldn't be called "helping Marina" because that stuff is called "business".
I didn't have any other options for survival and so it went, until November when he started ignoring my messages for longer and longer (imagine waiting for his answer for days and weeks) and well long story short now he ghosts me completely and he didn't pay me the royalties for half of November, all of December, and also when I asked him to deactivate all my listings in his shop he left a few of them, then re-activated another couple of them, for example at the end of February I had noticed he was selling the Gas Sling pattern for 30 CAD.
Now he is saying he had an accident in the New Year eve which is hard to believe because well it's common when people who owe you money suddenly have an accident, come on. He posted Cognac bag made by him on 16th of January, looks like he had been doing leather work in the hospital?
Anyway, all this shit is pretty bitter to me because I trusted the guy. He had been sending me the percentage before November and that helped a lot, but then kept telling me "his PayPal limits won't allow him to send anything".
Not sure if I can do anything about this but at least an impact could be made on his reputation. This is probably one of the most filthy ways of screwing someone over.
Do not work with this guy.
