Video tutorial:

This bag is inspired by traditional sailor's sacks and is a great cause to use some soft leather that you probably have but didn't know what to use it for.

The pattern might be a bit too complex for beginners because of the pockets, but if you don't have previous experience and still want to make it, you can skip the pockets altogether.

The pattern has stitching holes marked for 5 mm stitching irons.
Formats: A4, US Letter and 24" wide paper roll

Video about how to print the patterns and solve common printing problems:

Size: approx.
Height: 18”
Diameter: 12”

What you are gonna need:

Knife or scissors, stitching irons, maul or mallet, round punch, pair of harness needles, waxed thread. Rivet setter (if using rivets).

For the body I recommend using soft to medium temper leather, 3 to 4.5 oz in weight.
For the holders - 4-5 oz, for the strap - 6-7 oz.
You will also need a drawstring about 43-45” long.

1 x button stud (or Sam Browne).
2 x 7 3/4” (20 cm) zippers
2 x 1” D-rings
7 x Chicago screws or rivets
