This is a PDF pattern to make the bag, not the actual bag!
Video tutorial: https://youtu.be/4YP1yAjD7VE
A compact and elegant anti-theft sling. One day project suitable for a beginner.
Size: approx. (without strap)
The whole piece: 28” x 4.8”
Bag size: 12” x 4.8”
Pattern is designed for hand stitching.
What you are gonna need:
Tools:
Knife or scissors, stitching irons, maul or mallet, oblong punch for buckles, pair of harness needles, waxed thread. If using rivets, rivet setter.
Materials:
For the top piece you need some pretty stiff leather so it keeps its flat shape and doesn’t wrinkle, I used 5 oz stiff waxed veg tan. For the bottom piece I used soft 3.5-4 oz. Probably medium hand leather will also work quite well for it.
For the strap use 6 oz and up (I used same 5 oz I used for the front panel but it’s a bit too thin).
Hardware:
6 x Chicago screws
2 x rivets for buckles (or use Chicago screws as well)
2 x 1” buckles
1 x 10” zipper (zipper opening length is 9.7”)
