You can make these beautiful leaf trays out of scraps, and each of them can be completed in a couple of hours! Easy project suitable for beginners. Great gift idea, will embellish any home.
Size: approx. (without “tails”)
Green: 6” x 5.5”
Yellow: 7” x 6”
Formats: A4 and US Letter
Pattern is designed for hand stitching.
Tools:
Knife or scissors, stitching irons, maul or mallet, pair of harness needles, waxed thread. This pattern is designed for 4 mm stitching irons.
Materials:
Stiff leather 5-5.5 oz and heavier (2 mm and up). If you use veg tan you can apply some beautiful dyeing and even give them some more interesting shape after assembling using wet moulding technique. I would suggest using veg tan anyway because of its better structure and ability to keep the shape.
Hardware:
None, unless you want to embellish them with something :)
