Luna Small Bag
Luna Small Bag
This listing is for PDF pattern to make the bag, not the actual bag!
Luna is a small, easy project, suitable for beginners. This vintage little purse is somewhat of a hippie style which I like, it can hold your essentials such as phone, wallet, keys and all other small stuff you need to carry around.
Video tutorial:
You will need a couple of square feet of leather:
For the body and front panel: anything around 5-6 oz. For the flap patch and the gusset: something medium hand around 3 oz. For the closure strap - thick firm leather around 6-7 oz.Also you will need a 1/4” lace, length depends on your measures, I would say something around 60“ long. You can also use some nice rope instead. Two thin pieces of lace for the gusset.
Size: approx. 11” x 9” x 2”
Pattern is designed for hand stitching.
Comes with written instructions and tutorial video.
The pattern has stitching holes marked for 5 SPI stitching irons (5 stitches per inch, or approximately 5.2 mm). 5 mm stitching irons made by metric system sometimes fit, sometimes they don’t (depending on manufacturer). If you have 5 mm irons and the spacing seems a tad too large for them you can print the pattern at 96.2% scale. I advise to print one page and try your irons to see how they fit before printing the entire pattern.
Formats: A4 and USLetter.
