This is a PDF pattern to make the mini basket, not the actual physical product!
Small hanging organizer with beautiful lines can be assembled in a few hours and would be a useful and stylish addition for any interior. It also stands on its own so you can either hang it or put it on the table. Useful as a decoration filled with dry flowers or as a pencil or tool holder.
Dimensions: 8" x 4" x 2.5"
Materials:
Leather should be stiff. As there are 2 layers, it’s not too critical how thick it is gonna be, I used the 5 oz veg and 4 oz crazy horse. If you have a really heavy leather with polished flesh side you can use just one layer (use the Outer Layer part).
Hardware:
1 x button stud.
You can use anything else instead, a snap for example.
Tools:
Scissors, knife (paper knife or rotary cutter would also work).
Stitching irons: my pattern is made for 5 SPI stitching irons (5 stitches per inch).
Needles - according to your thread size, a pair of harness needles.
Mallet, hole punch.
Burnishing agent and burnisher (optional but desirable)
Pattern is designed for hand stitching.
Formats: A4 and USLetter.
The pattern has stitching holes marked for 5 SPI stitching irons (5 stitches per inch, or approximately 5.2 mm). 5 mm stitching irons made by metric system sometimes fit, sometimes they don’t (depending on manufacturer). If you have 5 mm irons and the spacing seems a tad too large for them you can print the pattern at 96.2% scale. I advise to print one page and try your irons to see how they fit before printing the entire pattern.
