What you are gonna need: 

Tools

Knife or scissors, stitching irons, maul or mallet, pair of harness needles, waxed thread, hole punch. Burnishing agent, burnisher, and sandpaper. 

Materials

Scraps, about 5-8 oz. For the appliqué, 2-3 oz.

The pattern has stitching holes marked for 4 mm stitching irons.
